Pet Policy

Meridian Property Management rental homes are pet-friendly and allow up to two (2) pets per unit. Residents must complete all required pet documentation and pay applicable fees before any pet resides in the unit. More details are provided below.

Pet Policy Information

We love pets, which is why all of our rental homes are pet-friendly! Each home can welcome up to two (2) furry family members, as long as you coplete a Pet Addendum and pay the non-refundable pet fee or non-refundable pet fee/pet rent combination for each. Even the cutest pets still require paperwork.


NON-REFUNDABLE PET FEES & PET RENT OPTIONS:


  1. Non-Refundable Pet Fee + Monthly Pet Rent:


  • $500 Non-Refundable Fee for the first pet
  • $250 Non-Refundable Fee for the second pet


Additionally, Monthly Pet Rent will apply as follows:


  • $40 per month for one pet
  • $65 per month for two pets


  2. Non-Refundable Pet Fee (No Monthly Pet Rent)


  • $1,000 Non-Refundable Fee for the first pet
  • $500 Non-Refundable Fee for the second pet
  • Fees must be paid in full at lease signing
  • Payment plans are not permitted


Pet fees and pet rent are non-refundable and do not apply toward damages. Residents remain fully responsible for all pet-related damages.

           

RESTRICTED BREEDS:


The following breeds are prohibited due to insurance restrictions (including but not limited to):

Akita, American Bandogge Mastiff, Staffordshire Terrier, Cane Corso, Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Dogo Argentino, English Bull Terrier, Pit Bull Terrier, Presa Canario, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Wolf Hybrid.

Additionally prohibited:

  • Exotic animals
  • Non-domestic animals
  • Venomous animals
  • Large birds (including parrots, macaws, or similar species)
  • Farm animals or livestock
  • Large aquariums or tanks that may pose a risk due to size or weight (30 gal. or larger)

Animals other than domestic cats and dogs require prior written approval from Management.


DNA TEST REQUIREMENT:


Dogs in townhome and apartment communities are required to complete a DNA test. A sample will be collected by swabbing your dog’s mouth at the office. The DNA test must be completed prior to the effective date of your lease agreement. The cost of the DNA Test Kit is $60 and is the responsibility of the resident.

Pets must always be leashed or secured

Clean up after your pets to avoid a $350 waste clean-up fee

Complete pet paperwork and provide a photo prior to pet moving in

Pets in rental communities are required to have a DNA sample on file
